I installed Vista x32 on my dv8230us without a problem except Audio. Vista cannot find them nor can I. I have contacted HP and they state they will be up in 45 days on their website. Has anyone been able to find drivers that work? Or will I just have to wait?

Conexant audio drivers
Well I have a HP Pavilion Notebook, Model DV8110US. I installed vista 64 bits, as you mention everything works, but the Conexant audio, modem and storage mass driver.
I chat online with a rep of HP and they told that since Vista is at research stage, They don't have any driver till the final version is rollout... So i went to www.conexant.com, but they don't have any support.
Please If anyone knows a link, please send me an email... I can't wait 45 days or the final version of vista.

OK...thought this may help someone. I have a Toshiba P105 with the Conexant High Definition Audio. Upon installing Vista RC1 I got no sound. At first the driver loaded but I got the Code 10 error stating the driver could not start. After deinstalling the device I could not get the driver installed. I searched all the blogs and news boards. I found a lot of people with the same issue and some recommendations but nothing worked.
Here is what worked for me and I hope it works for you. I tried previously loading the XP drivers that came with my system and nothing worked. This time, instead or running the zip file automatically I unpacked it into a separate folder. I then went in and selected each application file's properties and set the compatibility to XP SP2. I then went in to the device and performed a driver update and selected my own location where the modified files were. The results were it installed immediately and began working immediately

Here is a couple ideas. Number one, try Windows update. It installed myt Conexiant drivers automatically. Now here is a ricky idea, and I can guarantee nothing on this, because it may cause a "blue screen error" so do a complete PC back-up before you start!
Put your driver recovery disk in. Now instead of letting it auto-run, explore the disk, under drivers, and audio. There is a setup.exe there. Try that, even if your computer hasn't found our audio, the driver will. and it will load.
Now, one of two thingd will happen, you will either get a blue screen, or your sound will work. Best of luck either way.
Now, for the modem, you just have to put the disk in, and use the "driver update" option in the device manager. Browse the computer, in the driver disk, under "Modem" just direct it to the folder, it will load your drivers.
This is what I did with my HP 7030us Notebook.
Hope this helps.
