Hi, Ive looked everywhere for a conexant x64 driver, ive tried workarounds, realtek drivers, you name it ive tried it. I have a 500mb folder on my desktop with just sound drivers. Im wondering if anyone has found a driver for Conexant chips. Would be greatly appreciated if you have one :) thanks.

Speakers were working. I went to Gateway and downloaded the Conexant Audio drivers for Vista 32 and ran the install. Now I don't have any audio at all. Also, every time I try to run the I've uninstalled the device, deleted the driver files, but Vista still can't find the default driver for the Conexant audio.

You'll have to sign-up (free) to get into the download section, but they have Conexant drivers for both XP x64 and Vista x64. It's also an excellent place to find other drivers and is nicely oraganized. BTW, I know they have it because I used it for my HP Pavilion zv6007us notebook with Conexant / ATI sound.

I followed the trouble-shooter files and discovered that the audio drivers for either my modem or sound card seem to be causing the problem, the sound card is CLabs Live!Value (have downloaded new drivers for ME) and the modem drivers are for conexant soft56k. The CD for modem contains both Rockwell & Motorola
